The MAP for Italian Keyboard is heavily wrong: please, fix it!
Hi
I inform You that the MAP for Italian Keyboard is heavily wrong
Keys are NOT in their place, none alternative config is working
for example @ is not there where it should, the same for #,
and many other symbols are NOT on their printed places
it's like a nighmare typing...
for all the missing keys need to make a copy / paste from a text
the problem, in my opinion, seems related to something in XORG
____
THX
Bye, NicCo

How did you achieve this? Did you choose italian keyboard layout in Anaconda installer?

Yes,
I also tried with two installed Keymaps IT + EN (UK)
switching the two different keymaps, nothing helps
one example, after a long search typing all keys
for "@" symbol that is on the right of "L" : ALTGR + ò, I can use ALTGR + Q
but all symbols are out of their printed placed, others are totally missing
You can try by yourself, install IT as your second keymap, switch to it
this is the right one config, the one in ROSA 12 is like TOTAL ALIEN CONFIG

I've added italian keyboard layout in XFCE, switched to it, pressed shift+3 and got £. So the layout seems to be correct.

Hi Nicco, i have created a script containing:
then I added it to the automatic start of plasma.
It doesn't work in the start menu search, but in other programs it does
Код: Выделить всё
#! /bin/sh
xmodmap -e "keycode 48 = agrave degree agrave degree numbersign seconds rightsinglequotemark"
xmodmap -e "keycode 47 = ograve ccedilla ograve ccedilla at minutes leftsinglequotemark"
It doesn't work in the start menu search, but in other programs it does

Your script works, Thanks a lot!
This is quite a crippling error, not to be seriously solved with a script
What is the origin of the problem? Where is the mistake?
I suppose it should be fixed at the origin (xorg fix release?)

Just try to obtain the symbols likemikhailnov писал(а): ↑03 авг 2022, 12:32I've added italian keyboard layout in XFCE, switched to it, pressed shift+3 and got £. So the layout seems to be correct.
@ , #
@ should be > Alt Gr + one key after "L"
# should be > Alt Gr + two keys after "L"
there are other less used keys in the same state
the map used for Italian keyboard is simply BAD
none italian keyb has the @ with the Alt Gr + Q

Can you please check if this issue is present outside KDE?
I've added italian layout into XFCE again, switched to it, pressed left Alt + one key after L (Russian Ж) and got @NicCo писал(а): ↑06 авг 2022, 16:35Just try to obtain the symbols likemikhailnov писал(а): ↑03 авг 2022, 12:32I've added italian keyboard layout in XFCE, switched to it, pressed shift+3 and got £.
