Hello,

in laptop dell latitude e6520, touchpad is not recognized by synaptics. It seems we need a specific driver. I found what seems to be solution here, in a fedora blog http://fedora-dell-e6520.blogspot.fr/20 ... rking.html . The solution seems to apply to Ubuntu. How can we do the same with Rosa, as I would like to replace native ubuntu by last Rosa desktop?

Thanks :)

Hi

Since LTS Kernel version 3.0.40, we added after a bugzilla signalation some updated drivers for ALPS touchpads
The adopted solution is more complex and consists of 8 patches replacing completely the ALPS touchpad driver...

Read here:
http://mib.pianetalinux.org/forum/viewt ... =38&t=3430

We are still waiting some feedback...

BTW, for RM 2012 it's even possible to adopt a more recent kernel serie,
if you wish an LTS kernel serie, you can install LTS Kernel 3.2.x or 3.4.x
For drivers, are also available recent drivers for Broadcom-Wifi, Ati, Nvidia

About where to download, read here:
Kernel Farm with drivers for ROSA Linux and Mandriva

also in french area, Jcl_Vanier updates often this Topic
