Yes, it will be done ASAP (with this 3.12.8 or with next.3.12.9)
POSTEDIT
there are some rebuilds in progress for 3.12.8:
first rebuilds are:
- kernel-nrj-desktop and kernel-nrj-desktop-pae
- kernel-nrj-laptop and kernel-nrj-laptop-pae
then should follow:
- kernel-nrjQL-desktop and kernel-nrjQL-desktop-pae
- kernel-nrjQL-laptop and kernel-nrjQL-laptop-pae
Hoping ABF will complete them without troubles...
(I hope around the mid/end of this week, when few newer necessary patches will be available, you'll find also Kernel 3.12.9 laptop)

About Kernel 3.13, it's too early, and there will be surelly issues with some drivers, vms, ...
Kernel nrj and nrjQL are NOT simple vanillas, we need to collect a lot of features patches:
generally these are available only after about 3-4 weeks or more, when a new kernel serie,
so we may expect our first 3.13.x, at least with the 3.13.3 or starting from 3.13.4 or 3.13.5,
with kernel 3.12, infact, our first version available was 3.12.5, first good version was 3.12.7
BFQ is recommended by their authors also for SSD, I have not personal experience...,
you can read about in the BFQ web site...

All the rpms of Kernel 3.10.28 with BFQv7 are already avalable for your necessary tests!
My local builds in marathon x86_64 showed me some strange complains about bfq build...
while none complains/warnings happened with newer 3.12.9 where everything seems ok
Now I'm waiting for Your precious feedback...
I promised You yesterday...,
right now, the same thing has been prepared with the newer Kernel series 3.12.xx
Availabily: the same of 3.10.28 (v7) but all the rebuilds are still work in progress...:
check the links above often..., so you can realize by yourself when rpms are ready to install
Availability chart list:
- kernel-nrj-desktop and kernel-nrj-desktop-pae
- kernel-nrj-laptop and kernel-nrj-laptop-pae
- kernel-nrjQL-desktop and kernel-nrjQL-desktop-pae
- kernel-nrjQL-laptop and kernel-nrjQL-laptop-pae
Please, start testing kernels. we need to know if we must apply BFQv7 to the next kernel versions:
I suggest You to install the -1 and -1v7 version both concurrently (also the nrQL rel -69 and -69v7),
then make your testing, mainly make the comparisons between the kernels with BFQ v6 against v7

now is to to be considered as an early alpha draft,

Problems with proprietary driver should be fixed with patch inside the Nvidia video driver
and you must also consider that the 331.xx driver does not support natively kernel 3.13
to use a proprietary Nvidia driver, you need:
a> Nvidia 331.xx driver, new release with a proper kernel 3.13 patch
b> Nvidia 334, or newer
... driver supports newer versions of the Linux kernel (likely through at least Linux 3.13 and perhaps even 3.14 but that hasn't been confirmed yet).
From the kernel side, I can NOT do anything, sorry...
(you may ask to Alexander Kazancev, if he has the time to prepare the new drivers, for his personal repo)

Hello
I made 5 attempts to boot for every different kernel tested, to have a reliable average speed on the boot time kernel, the Distro used is the new ROSA Fresh R3, I expected already cool results, the latest results are even better than those expected!
The times recorded are related to nr. 5 retries:
kernel 3.10.34 - (default in ROSA Fresh R3)
kernel 3.10.37 - (update that has had not the time enough for QA)
kernel 3.13.11 - (the same version used for OpenMandriva 2014.0)
Here are some numbers, judge by yourself:
with R3 kernel boot times are almost halved, decreased by about nearly 5 second
10.1 secs with 3.10.34 (with R2)
5.7 secs with 3.10.37 (with R3)
5.5 secs with 3.13.11 (with R3)

Kernel 3.14.8 for ROSA Marathon, Fresh 2012.1 & 2014.1
P.S. Kernel 3.14 i586 rpms:
there is a problem that breaks the publishing of i586 rpms related to kernel 3.14.x serie,
this has been fixed some hours ago for rosa2012.1, and the fix is confirmed as working...
for rosa2012lts and rosa2014.1 the problem is still present, and it should be fixed asap:
if you want kernel 3.14.8 you need to download rpms from the temp container and install

If you use one of the nrjQL flavours, now we have UKSM 0.1.2.3 that deduplicates the memory pages better than past 0.1.2.2 version,
and does not have big slowdown and/or lock the mouse pointer and the keyboard, when too many pages are open with firefox browser:
during my test on a ultrabook (intel core2 1200Mhz) while with 3.12.23 I had this problem using 25 tab, now I have tested upto 50 tabs,
it seems that new UKSM 0.1.2.3 manages better the memory resources, especially when using FireFox with a great number of pages...

just waits for UKSM 0.1.2.3 in 3.14 or 3.15

- Kernel 3.14.13
- Kernel 3.15.6
they both already have new UKSM 0.1.2.3!

about the proprietary blob drivers:
it has been reported that Nvidia works, ATI (fglrx) not yet (need new driver or patching existing driver)
it has been reported that: dkms-brodcom-wl driver refuses to compile (need a new driver or patching)
about current RPMS availability:
the first build has been limited only to rosa 2012.1 & omv2014.0
the second build is in progress... for rosa 2012lts and omv2013
ABF is in maintainance and currently refuses to publish rpms from i586 arch
you can find the x86_64 published and available in the usual kernel repository
you may need to manually download the i586 kernel rpms from the build lists,
you can get rpms from there: https://abf.rosalinux.ru/kernels_3_15x/ ... uild_lists
about the next kernel:
the next, currently I am working on it, will be the Kernel LTS 3.14.14

SMT/Hyperthreading, nice and scheduling policies...
It's effective only with a PC equipped with Cpus Intel HT(HypeThread) or AMD CMT (Bulldozer/Piledriver)
It improves the performance of foreground applications at the expense of backgound ones,
so your desktop/gui/applications will remain fast even if you run folding@home, mprime, seti@home etc., but those background tasks will slow down more.

These are our first kernel with BFQ v7r6:
these releases are focused on the boot time with fast devices like SSD,
from the first feedback, the boot time with SSD should result as halved

(this has a special feature for the Intel SMT HT capable cpus,
making multitasking more efficient, more realtime behaviour)
Work in progress...
There should follow new versions for all the maintained LTS kernels:
3.10.58 and 3.12.30

Kernel 3.17.1 is just on the way...
Yesterday the first alfa version of nrj, then my own first internal testing on ROSA Marathon (my current development OS),
some refinements and I'll rebuild and test soon also for ROSA Fresh, then I'll send SRPMS to ABF for a complete rebuild
TODO:
fixing the ARM part
fixing the nrjQL part
I will keep you informed about the development
thanks for your attention
bye, NicCo
