Help me optimize left sided taskbar

Hi, attached screenshot. Main issue is that the system tray applets are taking too much space and I can't find a way to force multiple rows. Also, there is one more app that is open but is not appearing in the main task list. Is there a way to make task lists scroll when at the bottom of it? Thanks.
