upgrade

Сообщение manifesto » 19 июн 2013, 02:17

Hi,
I saw the a new release was out (R1) I wanna upgrade but cant find a way to do it.
pkgmanager dont propose update and I cant find relevant documentation (http://wiki.rosalab.ru/en/index.php/Urp ... sing_urpmi not much help ...)
I am a bit disapointed to not have found good help on that very simple task.
I add to click to add repo but now it loks like I have several time same entry :

What should I do to upgrade to last release ????
What are all this lines means ???
I tried standard urmpi --auto-select and my cpu is getting very hot systemd update ...
Thanks !

I am not in R1.
I checked and it looks like doing :
urpmi.removemedia -a
urpmi.addmedia --distrib --mirrorlist '$MIRRORLIST'
urpmi --auto-update
Will ask some questions that only expert can reply (python and java version ...) and then go for upgrade.
But :
1 - I didnt see the kernel being updated
2 - It is very very slow (network and cpu) it looks like I al going to czech republc (I am in France) and I download around 100k/s and I have 600Mb to download.

How to get the mirror list close to my place and how to change this ?

Thanks

Hello, I do not think it will help much but I upgraded recently to R1 with:

Код: Выделить всё

urpmi.update -a
urpmi --auto-select
urpmi --auto-update
(to make it sure)
It went quite seamlessly including the kernel and all.
Could you download http://mirror.rosalinux.com/rosa/rosa20 ... .i586.list (or rosa2012.1.x86_64.list) and post its content here?
Also from root:

Код: Выделить всё

traceroute mirror.rosalab.ru
may be it has to do something with your internet provider
