I think that lightdm (the login manager they use with Ubuntu) is much better than kdm. It blends in beautifully with the desktop wallpaper, providing a smooth transition and is also lighter and cleaner. I think ROSA should use lightdm as default.

Well, I guess it's possible. Not for 2012.1 release but maybe for the next one. At least some developers want to switch to lightdm too.
